Expansion Completed

Yazoo Mills Inc has just completed another phase of growth to it’s New Oxford, Pennsylvania facility. A modern concrete façade was added to the front of the building along with an expansion to the offices and additional parking areas .In addition to enlarging the lobby, the existing offices were upgraded and remodeled which now total 7600 square feet. With the purchase of adjoining properties, the complex now totals 9 acres. The project was completed in June of 2007 and was constructed by Conewago Enterprises, Inc., a premier commercial construction contractor located in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Within the last year there have also been upgrades to the 140,000 square foot manufacturing facility, including automated glue delivery systems and additional automated recutting machinery. Upon completion of the project, an open house was held for the employees including a picnic and raffle prizes.

Computer Upgrades

Yazoo is currently undergoing an upgrade to the entire computer system. After interviewing several IT companies, Yazoo’s IT Planning Committee selected Epicor, a global leader in software solutions, to manage the installation of Vantage, a new high-tech software. This innovative program will manage the entire order cycle and enable all departments to accommodate customers more quickly and more efficiently. The committee also selected Reinsel Kuntz Lesher, one of the largest regional consulting firms in Southeastern Pennsylvania, to implement and manage all new hardware systems, internal networking, and external networking.  New servers will be installed which will enable faster processing and larger storage capacity. All upgrades are due to be complete by January 2008.

New Products

Yazoo recently added a line of white mailing tubes with inside diameters ranging from 2 to 4 inches. These tubes have an attractive white finish and are in stock for same-day shipping.  Additional items have also been added to the classic brown heavy duty mailing tube line, which now totals 48 different sizes. All of these items, as well as light duty hand-out tubes, are available for online ordering. 

The stock core program has also expanded and now offers 46 sizes to meet the growing demands of customers. These cores are always in stock and ready for same-day shipment. Several new colors have been added to the parchment cover selection which can be used for custom tube and core orders. In addition, Yazoo now has the ability to customize glossy covers to match any PMS number.
