Donation Policy and Scholarships
Yazoo Mills views its philanthropic efforts as investments to enhance the quality of life of people and non-profit organizations. Due to the requests for funds being in excess of our giving capacity, we have set forth guidelines and criteria for handling charitable giving. All corporate contributions, sponsorships, scholarships, and in-kind services will promote our business goals, create positive visibility, and demonstrate social responsibility and respect for the environment.
Requests for donations will be honored only to organizations maintaining 501c3 non-profit status and will be approved at the discretion of the officers of Yazoo Mills Inc. Preference will be given to organizations within Yazoo Mills’ local community and surrounding areas.
The following requests for funding will not be considered:
- Organizations without 501c3 non-profit status
- political or lobbying groups
- athletic teams, with the exception of in-house company named teams
- individuals’ trips, beauty pageants, racing endeavors, etc.
- any organizations that discriminate on the basis of gender, race, disabilities, etc.
- advertisements for yearbooks, programs, bulletins, or brochures
