We’re excited to announce the promotion of Jared Wolf to Production Manager at Yazoo Mills.
In his new role, Jared helps to oversee production operations across our facilities, supporting the efficient manufacturing of high-quality paper cores and tubes while balancing productivity, safety, ergonomics, and continuous improvement.
Jared’s journey at Yazoo Mills began as a 2nd Shift Winding Operator. Over the years, he advanced to 2nd Shift Winding Lead, 2nd Shift Supervisor, Winding Manager, and now Production Manager. His career path reflects a commitment to learning, leadership, and helping others succeed.
One of the things Jared has valued most throughout his time at Yazoo Mills is the camaraderie among the operators on the production floor. He credits several leaders for supporting his growth, including Donnie Myers, Production Manager at Plant 2; Jesse Smith, Plant Manager for Plants 1 and 3; and Steve McMaster, Vice President of Manufacturing. Their guidance and support have helped him develop as a leader and continue growing throughout his career.
Throughout his career, Jared has focused on improving processes and supporting employees. He has helped develop standard operating procedures within the winding department, worked alongside his team to strengthen operator skills, and contributed to ergonomic improvements designed to support both long-tenured and new employees. He also played an important role in the relocation of equipment from Plant 1 to Plants 2 and 3, one of the larger operational projects during his time with the company.
As a family-owned business, Yazoo Mills has provided opportunities for Jared to build strong relationships across departments while growing alongside the company. He believes the culture is defined by the commitment and pride employees take in their work, creating an environment built on respect, collaboration, and ownership.
For Jared, the most rewarding part of the job is overcoming challenges and seeing projects through to completion. He says this promotion is especially meaningful because it reinforces that his efforts and contributions are valued.
Looking ahead, Jared is excited to work more closely with departments throughout the organization, gain a deeper understanding of their processes, and continue identifying opportunities to improve efficiency while maintaining a strong focus on safety and ergonomics.
Outside of work, Jared enjoys bass fishing and spending time on the water. One of his favorite fishing destinations is the St. Lawrence River, and he also enjoys making his own soft plastic lures and building custom fishing rods.
