Running for a Cause at Snack Town 10K

On the brisk, rainy morning of Saturday, April 12, 2025, more than 150 runners and walkers laced up their shoes and gathered at the South Hanover YMCA to kick off this year’s Snack Town Race Series 10K and Kids Color Run. With temperatures hovering around 40 degrees, participants powered through a scenic yet challenging course that wound through the tree-lined streets of West Manheim and around the Long Arm Creek Reservoir in Hanover, PA. The energy was high, the pace was strong, and the mission behind the miles made every step count.

But this race was about more than just finish times—it was about impact. Proceeds from the Snack Town Race Series directly benefit the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA and Parkinson’s disease programs, which support individuals living with and through these conditions. Through specialized training and a sense of community, participants in these programs work to regain strength, improve mobility, and build resilience.

Yazoo Mills is proud to be a Gold Sponsor of this meaningful event. Team members Tyler Hursh, Aaron Long, Dustin Naugle, and Aaron Mojica represented our team with strength and spirit, each crossing the finish line with determination and pride.

The race series continues this fall with the Half Marathon, 5K, and Kids Fun Run scheduled for October 4, 2025. We’re excited to keep supporting this impactful series and cheering on every participant as they race for a cause that truly matters.
