Behind every meal served and every service offered at New Hope Ministries is a story of resilience, hope, and community support. Those stories took center stage at the New Oxford Rededication and Open House on March 26, where guests gathered to celebrate a space dedicated to helping neighbors in need.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with refreshments and invited to take part in a guided tour of the facility. This experience offered a deeper look into the heart of New Hope’s mission and the incredible work being done every day.
During the tour, we learned more about the wide range of services New Hope provides to individuals and families in need. Their support goes far beyond food assistance, addressing the full spectrum of challenges people may face. These services include basic needs support, housing assistance, workforce development, youth programs, transportation assistance, and even a mobile food pantry that extends its reach into the broader community.
At the core of their work is helping meet essential, everyday needs—providing food to prevent hunger, rent and mortgage assistance to prevent homelessness, utilities to keep families safe and warm, transportation support, and access to medical needs and referral services. Each of these offerings plays a vital role in helping individuals regain stability and move forward with confidence.
As part of our commitment to supporting this mission, Yazoo Mills was proud to make a significant monetary donation toward the installation of a new kitchen at the New Oxford Center. This addition will allow New Hope to serve hot meals daily, expanding their ability to care for those who rely on their services.
The event itself was more than just a celebration—it was a powerful reflection of community, generosity, and shared purpose. We were grateful to celebrate alongside New Hope’s dedicated staff, volunteers, and partners whose time and commitment made this project possible.
