It is with great pleasure that we are announcing the promotion of Crystal Miller as our new Accounting Representative of Yazoo Mills.

Crystal has been with Yazoo since 2016 and started out as our Receptionist, answering multiple phone lines and processing orders. Through her commitment and dedication, she has always shown an initiative in the performance of her duties, going above and beyond for our customers, which led her to her current promotion.  The same level of dedication will be applied in her new role within Accounting.

Miller majored in Accounting in college and had prior experience during her previous employment at a nursing home. Her job at Yazoo entails invoicing, applying payments, and accounts payable, all of which she really enjoys doing.  When asked what she liked best about working at Yazoo, Miller replied “The people.  Everyone here is great to work with and is always willing to lend a helping hand when needed.”

Congratulations on the promotion, Crystal, you deserve it!

We are excited to announce that we have added another employee to our highly talented team.  Amanda Cummings started working for Yazoo Mills in October of 2015 in our Accounting Department.  She has been working in the accounting field for the past 11 years.  Before joining our company, she worked at a Harley Davidson dealership as a Bookkeeper and Notary.  Apart from the civilian side, Amanda was a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard for five years as a Logistics Specialist and also had job duties in their Accounting Department.  If it’s a task in the accounting cycle, she’s done it [all].  She is currently working on an Accounting degree from University of Phoenix and is excited to gain further knowledge in her field.

In Amanda’s spare time, she likes to make memories with her two-year-old twin daughters, help others get healthy by pursuing her passion for fitness and nutrition as a Beach Body Coach, run, read books, and drink wine.  She also has a startup photography business on the side and dedicates her time to that as well.  Amanda said “family is very important to me and I like to stay busy.  I believe a day without laughing is a day wasted.  If you can’t laugh at life, then what’s the purpose?  If you see me, I’m always trying to make people laugh.  I also strive to inspire and empower women.  Being a mom of twin girls, who are my world, my goal in life is to show them they can be whatever they want to be as long as they believe in themselves.”

She is looking forward to the growth opportunities that Yazoo Mills has to offer both personally and professionally.  She goes on to say “Yazoo has a lot of employees who have been here for many years and it has promise to become a home for me.”  Welcome to Yazoo Mills, Amanda.  We are glad to have you on our team!
