On Saturday, October 25, 2014, Baltimore Walk Now for Autism Speaks held their 10th annual walk at M&T Bank Stadium in Maryland.  The purpose of the walk is to raise funds to continue global biomedical research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and a possible cure for autism.  More than 7,500 walkers participated in the event and raised over $250,000 to support the mission of Autism Speaks and its four focus areas: advocacy, awareness, research and science, and family services.

Christina Markish, Senior Manager, Field Development at Autism Speaks, said “We are so grateful for the $500 Corporate Sponsorship support of Yazoo Mills for the 10th Annual Baltimore Walk Now for Autism Speaks.  With one in 68 children affected by autism, we need answers and we need them now.  Yazoo Mills has helped contribute to the mission of Autism Speaks: to change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders.  Thank you, Yazoo Mills!”
