“Joining Yazoo Mills was a great opportunity to continue my professional career as a marketer, work closer to my family, and to be part of a family-owned company with a strong 120-year history that operates with honesty and integrity. It felt like the perfect fit to join a team of dedicated employees. Employees who are always willing to help, are aligned with the same goal to always strive for excellence, and the company’s consistent appreciation for their employees and customers. I’m thrilled to be part of the excitement here at Yazoo and look forward to continued success and growth!”

Yazoo Mills continues to see growth and is expanding its Maintenance department with the hiring of Don Parks as Maintenance Supervisor.
Parks joins Yazoo Mills following a Maintenance Planner/Lead role at a local Agribusiness. His background in hydraulics, robotics, programming, planning, and electrical troubleshooting provides him the skillsets needed to expand the servicing of production machines further to minimize downtime. Parks will collaborate with his team and other equipment/facility maintenance departments and focus on implementing improvements to position Yazoo as the industry leader in manufacturing paper tubes and cores.
When asked why he applied to Yazoo, he replied “I applied to Yazoo because I knew the company would open up opportunities to me that I did not think would be open any time soon at my former employer. Yazoo always strives for more in every aspect – with its employees, customers, and facilities. They truly are a great company to work for!”
In his spare time, you can find Don spending time with his wife and four kids, watching his kids play baseball and softball, listening to audiobooks, learning to play new instruments, fishing, hiking, and playing video games with his kids.

We are pleased to announce the recent hiring of Sara Snyder to the position of Document Preparation Specialist at our Hanover Distribution Center. Sara, a graduate from Towson University, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business and a Minor in Spanish. Previously, she worked as an Operations Assistant for MassMutual in Savannah, GA where she was in charge of the entire application process for various financial and insurance products for the Financial Advisors. Sara is no stranger to Yazoo – she was hired temporarily to fill a Data Entry position and applied with hopes that a permanent position would become available.
In her new role at Yazoo, Sara prepares customer orders to be pushed through production. She determines how orders are going to ship based on customer requests, packaging specifications, weight and footage and then proceeds to send the orders out to the plant. Additionally, she creates the jobs to replenish the paper tube and core products for Yazoo’s stock programs.
The company culture that Yazoo provides definitely helps Sara feel like she belongs. “The atmosphere here is wonderful. Everyone is friendly, has a good attitude about work and is proud of what they do. They are quick to compliment a job well done or help with any questions as I continue learning a new position”, she says. When Sara isn’t at Yazoo, you can find her spending time outside with her husband and dog, being a weekend-warrior and taking road trips, renovating their camper/future tiny home, traveling abroad when opportunities arise and getting her hands on all things DIY.
Welcome to the Yazoo team, Sara – we’re happy to have you and excited to watch you grow with our company!
We’ve been in business since 1902 and we are STILL growing, more and more each year. With our continuous growth, we are pleased to announce the hiring of Claire Alexander, who has joined our Order Prep Department. Claire, a graduate from Shippensburg University with a degree in Geography/Surveying/Data Collecting & Processing, joins the Yazoo team as the new Document Preparation Specialist.
Before coming to Yazoo, Claire worked for a student loan company in customer service and a Navy support center as a Contract Digitizing Technician. Her knowledge, background and persistence helped pave the way for her new role with our company. As a Document Preparation Specialist, Claire is responsible for pulling orders from the dashboard to prepare them for production, cross-checking all of the important details such as order specs, shipping requests, payment information and packaging specifications. Once she has everything filled in, she prints a production order along with any specs that show the complete order details and shipping labels, then hands them over to the scheduler so they can get the production process started.
For Claire, she applied at Yazoo for a chance at a new experience. She saw an opportunity to gain new skills, be a part of an amazing company and have a much closer drive to home. She enjoys the people she gets to work with. Claire said “Everyone is friendly and willing to help if I have a question and it seems like everyone is on the same track of working together in order to keep the business in proper functioning order.” She also enjoys getting to learn a job that is new and different, feels appreciated by management which was hard to come by at her previous jobs, and the overall friendliness atmosphere that Yazoo presents. Claire continues to say “The pleasantries go a long way here – whether that’s a friendly hello in the morning or someone complimenting how great of a job you’re doing.”
In her spare time, you can find Claire buried in a good book, playing video games or watching a show. She enjoys having board game and cocktail nights with friends, spending time with her husband and playing with their two cats and two dogs. Congrats and welcome aboard, Claire. We’re excited to have you be a part of our team!

Our team at Yazoo Mills is constantly growing with talented and well-educated employees. Crystal Miller started working for Yazoo Mills in January of 2016 as our Receptionist. Before coming to Yazoo, Crystal worked for a flooring and design company in Philadelphia for almost five years as an Account Coordinator. Within her position there, she was in constant contact with the builders so she could order and schedule all of the flooring and trim needed to install in new homes. Her previous job experience has led her to become very detail oriented, customer focused, and determined to help solve customer’s questions.
Crystal decided to move back to York County to be closer to her family and friends. She was only moved back for less than two weeks and heard about the job opening at Yazoo. The next thing she knew, she was hired and ready to start her journey with the company. The two things she likes most about working at Yazoo Mills is the teamwork showcased by the employees and the family-like atmosphere.
In her spare time, Crystal likes to read, workout at the gym, spend time with family, and travel. She has a bucket list of traveling to Ireland, Hawaii, Montana, Italy, and Greece. Crystal is looking forward to her sister’s upcoming wedding, and traveling out of the country to a Caribbean island next year. She said “I am excited to learn more about the business in order to grow as a Yazoo employee.”
Welcome to Yazoo Mills, Crystal. We are glad to have you be a part of our team!
