Our company has been around for quite some time now, over 116 years actually. So naturally, we know a thing or twenty when it comes to recycling and being conscious of our environment every single day.  This isn’t just something we talk about, it’s been a part of our fabric for decades.

At Yazoo, we strive to continue to be a sustainable company, positively impacting the environment by recycling all waste generated during our manufacturing process with our in-house shredder and baler. We are proud to only use 100% recycled paperboard for all of our products.

Being a manufacturer, we produce over 4,000,000 inches of tubing per day that is made from 100% recycled paperboard. In order to maintain an industry leader, we receive over 1,000,000 pounds of recycled paperboard every single week!  That’s about 26 truckloads a week and over 1,352 truckloads every year.  There are 66 different sizes of recycled paperboard in the 1,000,000 pounds of paper we consume each week.  Having a wide variety of sizes allows us to custom manufacturer our paper tubes and cores to meet our customer’s specifications and serve numerous industries as well as staying ahead of our competition.

Every ton of 100% recycled paperboard that we use in our eco-friendly tubes is equal to the energy and landfill savings of 20+ mature trees, over 10,000 gallons of water, 5 cubic yards of landfill space, 5 barrels of oil and over 7,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity. There is no other packaging product that is more environmentally sustainable than 100% recycled paperboard.  We are proudly proving each day just how much our environment means to us and how we can continue to make a positive impact as a company.
