We are pleased to announce the hiring of Judy Rang as our new Human Resources Director.

Prior to coming to Yazoo, Judy worked for a business solutions provider in Cockeysville, MD as an HR manager, previously owned an HR consulting firm and is a certified HR professional. With her roots planted in PA, she was eager to find a job near her hometown. Our family-owned business that is well respected nationwide really grabbed her attention and ultimately led to her applying for the position.

As our Human Resources Director, Judy is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the administrative functions related to employment and safety. As our company is continuing to grow, she has already been busy at work coordinating recruiting efforts to find the right leaders that will help take our company to the next level in manufacturing. What does she like most about Yazoo? She says “The people, everyone is friendly and so willing to step in and help.”

In her spare time, you can find her spending time with her husband and three sons (29, 22, and 17), enjoying the great outdoors, traveling to the beach, being a “baseball Mom” and being a health coach that helps individuals meet (as well as exceed) their health and wellness goals. Her husband just bought a Harley so she is looking forward to warmer weather and a lot of Sunday drives.

Welcome aboard, Judy! We are thrilled to have you on our team and can’t wait to watch you excel in your new role!

The family-owned and friendly atmosphere is what she enjoys most about Yazoo. The secret to her 22-year tenure? She says “I enjoy helping customers with their tube and core requirements as well as the generous pay and benefits Yazoo has to offer!”

We live in a world where we see celebrities or high-profile people getting custom clothes made, custom homes being built, custom cars being designed; the list goes on and on with the main focus being on the single word custom.  The word “custom” usually tends to scare people away and typically their eyes (+ minds) see multiple dollar signs and excessive lead-times that send you into the next year.  However, custom shouldn’t be a scary word as it is meant to be tailored to be exactly what you want.

When looking to get something custom-made, keep in mind that not all products are made equally. You need to make sure that you do your research on the company you are looking at having make custom products/items for you.  When something is custom-made, you do not want to try to cut corners.

At Yazoo, we recognize that everyone needs something different – whether that be a specific I.D., wall thickness, length, etc. We manufacture our products to fit your specifications so you get exactly what you want and need. Not only do our products improve the way you do business, they also provide a peace of mind with our superior strength and top-notch quality, coupled with the fastest lead-times in the industry. We also offer a variety of cost-effective custom capabilities to help your business grow. We help take the guessing game out of what you need. Our knowledgeable Sales team is made up of innovative thinkers + problem-solvers. We’re the paper tube + core experts… discover the difference with us!

At Yazoo, we’re more than just paper tubes and cores. We’re building relationships. Day in and day out, Yazoo is committed to delivering the best paper tubes and cores to our customers. We operate 100% in the United States and are extremely proud of our American roots. Since our beginning in 1902, we’ve been manufacturing American-made products that continue to exceed customer’s expectations.

Yazoo is an American-made company with over 150+ highly skilled employees who have complete control over the entire manufacturing process which results in top-notch quality that cannot be matched by outsourcing. Our high-quality products allow your operations to decrease downtime and increase ROI.  All of our raw materials are also manufactured in the U.S. which brings us to quality control.  Our quality control system provides assurance that the material used continues to meet the physical, chemical, functional, visual and dimensional requirements needed for our customers.

We are able to provide innovative solutions to our customers nationwide and meet even their stringent requirements. Our speed-to-market of 48-hours is second to none which is one of the many reasons we remain the industry leader. At Yazoo, we’re more than just paper tubes and cores. Now, more than ever, paper cores play an essential role to many businesses across the world. Cores are the starting point for industries such as health care/pharmaceutical, flexible packaging, tape and label, government support, textiles, printing/graphics, converters and many more. While some might not realize the value paper cores contribute, something so trivial can impact your operations – because without a core, companies wouldn’t be able to convert their material – leaving us without tape, labels, packaging, etc.

Businesses are adjusting to the ever-changing conditions in today’s world and some are even shifting their focus to help battle the extreme shortage of products, causing them to step in and step up to fill numerous voids. For example, distilleries are switching from making their beloved spirits to utilizing their tools and operations to manufacture hand sanitizer.  This causes a need for labels to be mass produced as their main product has changed. Our speed-to-market has certainly helped out an abundance of companies who have shifted their regular production to manufacture essential products. Our customers have a huge advantage as Yazoo has the fastest turnaround times in the industry, allowing businesses to be able to mass produce without ever getting low on inventory, expanding their ROI exponentially.

Yazoo’s stock core program of over 3 million paper cores in-stock at all times is allowing essential businesses to maintain their production at full-capacity. Being focused on the customer experience has been a part of our fabric for decades.  At Yazoo, we work for you. We are constantly engaging with our customers to help them find easier ways to ramp up their production with our innovative solutions. Our team of highly-skilled employees work hard to continue supporting your operations and deliver products that exceed your expectations.

With his BA from Rowan University and over 20 years of experience in the tube and core industry, Chris’ knowledge and innovative ideas will help our customers be able to continue to dominate their market.  In his new role, he is responsible for driving and expanding business by directing the sales team as well as implementing sales strategies to maximize the use of existing data in our systems and develop new territories and markets.

When asked what he’s looking forward to in his new role, he said “Making a difference to my team, increasing the company’s revenues, impacting Yazoo with my industry knowledge and experience and helping our customers continue operating successfully in their industries.” He continues to say “I like the way Yazoo runs its family-owned business and the way they appreciate their customers and employees. I’m glad to have found my home here.”
