Yazoo Mills is stepping up its production capabilities with the installation of three new automated TCM creel systems, now fully operational at both our New Oxford facility and Plant 2 in Hanover, PA.
These advanced creel systems represent a significant investment in technology designed to optimize production speed, reduce costs, and improve the day-to-day experience of our team. Built with both performance and operator safety in mind, the systems feature compact, ergonomic designs that integrate seamlessly into our existing operations.
One of the standout advantages of the new TCM creels is their ability to anticipate raw material loading. This forward-thinking functionality simplifies the operator’s workflow, reduces downtime, and ensures a smoother, more efficient production process. The systems are also fully compatible with the wide range of paperboard ply rolls used at Yazoo Mills, allowing for flexibility across various product lines.
Key features of the new systems include electrically powered lifting and rotation of reels, automatic indexing for streamlined operation, and ply unwinding speeds of up to 150 meters per minute. Additionally, the machines are designed to be evolving and configurable, giving us the ability to adapt and expand their capabilities as our needs grow.
