We are happy to announce the promotion of Jack Viale to Recut Supervisor! Viale joined Yazoo in 2018 and has significantly impacted our production floor ever since he started with the company.
In his new role, Viale is primarily responsible for maintaining the overall efficiency and productivity of the Recut department team at our plant in New Oxford, PA. He oversees and aids in machine enhancements and troubleshooting, ongoing team development through proper on-the-job training, and initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Viale attended Saint Vincent College and Ohio University for degrees in Psychology and Sociology, which have become essential to his strong people management and development skills. He feels his education has greatly contributed to his ability to connect with his team and be a liaison between other departments to help with the overall betterment of the company.
Viale began working in the 2nd shift Winding department in 2018 and transitioned to the Recut department in August 2019. This move led Viale to learn how to be a setup operator for the 2nd shift recut team during its startup phase. When asked what he enjoys most about working at Yazoo, he says “Definitely the people. I’ve met some awesome people through my time here.”
In his spare time, you can find him spending quality time with his wife and kids and tearing up the flag football field with his travel team. In addition to his active lifestyle, Jack hopes to one day take a trip to Positano, Italy. And if he were to pick any superpower… he would choose teleportation because he would be at the beach in a blink of an eye. We do too, Jack!
Congrats on your promotion, Jack! We’re proud to have you on our team and know you’ll continue helping our team reach new heights as the leader in manufacturing paper tubes and cores.
