Yazoo Mills a major donor for UPMC Hanover Emergency Department Renovation Project

Being a part of a healthy and safe community is essential for all of us. We value unity, acceptance, personal safety, and available resources in many aspects, especially our health and well-being. Communities flourish the most when people and organizations unite in recognizing and contributing toward a common goal.

This week, Yazoo Mills had the pleasure of attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly renovated UPMC Hanover Emergency Department held on the 14th of December. Yazoo Mills is incredibly proud to have partnered with UPMC Pinnacle Foundation as a major donor for this meaningful project.

The emergency room renovation project improves the overall flow of the emergency room due to the increased number of patients within our community. It will enhance the care of patients experiencing behavioral health emergencies, increase the space needed for rapid assessment of incoming patients, and improve the fast-track area for urgent care patients. In addition, it will provide adequate space and security for clinical staff. The renovated space will be equipped with the following:

At Yazoo, we understand the importance of having adequate resources available within our community. Our partnership specifically contributed toward the new Behavioral Health Staff Room within its Behavioral Health Pod. With the gracious support from our community stakeholders and key supporters, this renovation directly responds to an increased number of behavioral health and crisis patients.

We take great pride in continuously supporting amazing organizations, such as UPMC Pinnacle Foundation, who remain committed to life-changing medicine and helping to make lives better.
